Transport
Coach pick ups from Aberdeen Airport, Dyce will be 3pm and 6pm on Sunday 25th April. Spaces on the coach will be limited. This will be a first come first serve basis and you may have to make alternative travel arrangements to Hilton Craigendarroch, Ballater (please see below).
The coach company is Allan and Black Coaches. The coach will be clearly marked that it is travelling to the Hilton Craigendarroch, Ballater.
Taxis
Taxis are available from the airport taxi operator, Comcab, outside the front of the terminal. Turn left for the taxi rank where a taxi marshaller will assist you in getting on your way as soon as possible. Pre-booked Comcab taxis are arranged by the Comcab booking office accessed by turning right from the main entrance.
Fares and journey times
All taxi fares are metered. Many vehicles are fitted with Chip & PIN payment terminals (a transaction charge applies).
A journey to Hilton Craigendarroch, Ballater will cost around £92 one way by taxi.
By plane
Flights come into Aberdeen city airport from many major European centres. The hotel is then 40 miles west of the city. We will operate a minibus shuttle service as above. On the Wednesday of departure a single shuttle by coach will leave the hotel and stop at Aberdeen city, then Aberdeen airport (expected at airport by 17:00). Otherwise buses (from airport to city bus station, then city to Ballater) and taxis (estimated £90 single journey) operate from Aberdeen along the road A93. There would be an option of arranging shared taxis back to Aberdeen earlier on the Wednesday.
By train
Trains connect to Aberdeen city from across the UK. Anyone arriving by train advise us of your expected arrival time and we could try to coincide with minibus shuttles.
If these arrangements present difficulties to people we could investigate the additional hire and use of minibuses. Please advise us when you know your flights/trains.
