Geoforensics and Information Management for crime Investigation (GIMI)

Project Aims

The primary aim of the network is to review and evaluate both existing and new technologies in the following fields:

  • analytical fingerprinting of soils and vegetation
  • non-invasive measurement
  • data and image analysis
  • knowledge-based data mining
  • spatial database interrogation

Plenary meetings of the network will be held at 6-monthly intervals throughout the 3-year period to set priorities for the four sub-groups and to review progress.
