Job Description for LANDSCAPE AND VISUALISATION MODELLER
Applications are invited for a researcher to work in the Integrated Land Use Systems Group at the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute. The focus will be on the development and use of scientific visualisation tools for facilitating public engagement and participation in landscape and landscape change using a virtual reality environment, in the context of the Institute’s programme of research.
The successful candidate should possess a degree in geosciences, landscape architecture, applied computing science and preferably a relevant post graduate qualification. An interest in land use related research issues, and a working knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative methods would be desirable. Experience of communicating findings in a range of scientific and public media with a track record in attracting external funding are all advantageous.
Starting salary within the range £26,610 - £29,566 per annum with excellent employee benefits.
