Catchment and River Basin Management

As a Catchment Management group, we naturally have close working relationships with catchment and river basin planners, as well as special interest groups, coastal partnerships and other groups involved in management of water resources.

• We host the Project Officer for the Dee Catchment Management Plan (DCMP) at the Institute

• We host the East Grampian Coastal Partnership (EGCP) at the Institute

• We work with the Area Advisory Groups, particularly those covering the North East and Tay regions, who are responsible for implementing river basin plans as part of the Water Framework Directive in Scotland

• We have recently hosted a workshop for Catchment Officers as part of the CATCH (Catchment Advice and Toolbox ExCHange) project. More information can be found here.
